Over the summer holidays a lot of work has been done on Pinky's bedroom, including dh building her a loft bed. However I did manage to pay some attention to Perky's bedroom as well. She has two sets of cupboards in her room, side by side, each with double doors. These have been great, but a little bit of swinging on the doors and breaking the hinges and the inconvenience of always having to have enough door-opening space led us to the point when dh's hard work 5 or 6 years ago to build the cupboards and doors needed a bit of updating so we went from this:
to this, which wasn't a good look:
So I sourced some penguin fabric from eBay - Perky really loves penguins,
put top and bottom panels onto it to make it long enough (too expensive to buy more penguin fabric) and
there we have it, hundreds of penguins in her room
to greet her when she got back from staying at Grandma's.
She was very pleased, and so was I. Having thought it would be an easy project I took hours over it and it still has lots of errors - it seems penguins don't really like standing in straight lines!
